Shoppers often design something, then ask someone before buying: "Does this look right?" The Product Designer lets them save a design and come back to it on any device, share a read-only copy, and change a design that is already in the bag. Nothing here needs setting up; two settings and two of Mercayo's limits control it.
Saving a Design
In the designer, SAVE DESIGN asks for a name ("My design" to start with) and keeps the design with its pictures and photos.
- A shopper who is signed in finds it in My Account › Saved Designs, where they can open, rename or delete it. It is kept until they delete it.
- Every shopper, signed in or not, gets a link to open it again, on this phone or another (COPY LINK). Saving again from that link updates the same design (SAVE CHANGES) instead of making a copy.
- A guest's saved design is kept for 90 days.
A shopper may keep up to 50 saved designs in your store (Mercayo's limit). The design is kept on the device as well, as it always was, so closing the page by mistake loses nothing.
Sharing a Design
SHARE saves the design first, then makes a read-only link the shopper can send on WhatsApp or anywhere (SHARE LINK or COPY LINK).
- The link opens a copy of the design on the product. The friend can look, and design their own from it; the shopper's own design never changes.
- It shows no name, phone number or email, and search engines are told never to list it.
- The shopper's photos go with it only if they choose Include my photos. Even then each photo opens only through an address that works for 10 minutes. Without it, the friend sees the design with its photos left out and a note that says so.
- STOP SHARING ends the link at once: "The link no longer works."
Links are long random codes that cannot be guessed.
Changing a Design in the Bag
Under a designed item in the bag, EDIT DESIGN reopens its design. The shopper changes it, checks it again, and UPDATE BAG replaces that bag line with the new design at its new price.

Saving cannot be switched off: it is how a shopper keeps their work. Mercayo sets how many designs a shopper may save in a store (50) and how long a guest's saved design is kept (90 days), and may change either for your store.
What You See
Saved and shared designs are your shoppers' own until they order. You see a design when it becomes an order: its sides on the order page, its Print Files, and the shopper's tick that they checked it.
Questions
Does sharing show my shopper's photos to anyone with the link?
Only if your shopper chose Include my photos, and then only through addresses that stop working after 10 minutes. Without it, the photos are left out.
Can a shopper open a saved design on another product?
No. A design belongs to its product; the link opens that product's designer.
