A marketplace lets other sellers sell in your store. You stay in charge: every seller and every one of their products is approved by you first, and shoppers see who sells each product.
The Marketplace comes with Mercayo's Marketplace plan. Once Mercayo has added it to your store, open Products › Sellers and choose TURN ON MARKETPLACE.
How a Seller Joins
- The seller opens Sell With Us in your store (linked from the footer while sign-up is on) and fills in their shop, contact and pickup address, then their PAN, GSTIN and bank account with its IFSC, and adds their documents: the PAN card, the GST certificate and a cancelled cheque or bank statement.
- Mercayo checks the details as they type: the PAN's shape, the GSTIN's check character, that the GSTIN carries the PAN and that its state matches the pickup address, and the IFSC's shape.
- The application shows on Products › Sellers under To Review, and your team gets an email.
- Open it to see the business, the KYC and the documents. Documents are kept private: only your team and the seller can download them.
- APPROVE SELLER marks the KYC as checked and emails the seller a link to their seller panel. DECLINE sends them your note.
You can also ADD SELLER yourself with the same details, and approve them at once.
The Seller's Panel
The seller signs in to Mercayo with the invited email and opens their panel. It shows only their own: Products (add, edit, send for approval), Stock, Orders with their items only and the address to ship to, Labels and packing slips, Returns, Payouts, Reports and their Shop Profile. They never see your customers, your other sellers or your settings.
Pausing a Seller
PAUSE SELLER takes their live products off your store at once; their panel stays open to read only. REINSTATE puts the same products back live.
What Shoppers See
With Show who sells each product on, product cards and product pages say Sold by with the seller's name. With Seller pages on, every approved seller has a page at /sellers/their-name with their products, their rating from your store's reviews of their products, and their latest reviews.
Settings
At the foot of Products › Sellers: Marketplace, Seller sign-up page, Ask sellers for a GSTIN, Approve sellers' products, Show who sells each product and Seller pages. Mercayo can set any of them for your store.
