A digital product is delivered as files, licence keys or links instead of a parcel. Nothing is shipped, it weighs nothing, and the buyer gets it the moment the order is paid. Turn digital products on in Products › Digital › Settings (they are on every plan), then make any product digital in its editor.
Making a Product Digital
- Open the product (save a new one first).
- In Digital Delivery, choose Digital, then SAVE the product.
- Add what the buyer gets:
- ADD FILE: a PDF, ZIP, EPUB, picture, audio, video, font or design file, up to 50 MB. The file's contents must match its name. Files are private: no one can open them without a paid order's link.
- ADD LINK: a course, a shared folder or a page of yours. The buyer opens it through your store's own expiring link and never sees the address itself.
- Licence Keys: turn the switch on, then IMPORT KEYS (one per line, or a CSV with the keys in its first column). Each unit sold gets its own key, never given twice.
- Under Limits and Note, set Downloads per File and Days the Links Work (empty uses the store's setting), and a Note for the Buyer, then SAVE DELIVERY.
A file or link can be for one variant only (for example a PDF and an EPUB edition).
What the Buyer Sees
- The product page shows Instant Download with what is included, instead of delivery by PIN code.
- The bag marks the item Digital · delivered after payment.
- A bag of digital items only asks for a billing address (for the GST invoice), shows no delivery options and is paid online only: cash on delivery is not offered. A bag with physical items too is delivered and paid as usual; its digital items come once it is paid (for cash on delivery, when the cash is collected).
- Once paid, the downloads, keys and links appear on the thank-you page, in the order email and on the order's page (the account, or the order's link). Each file shows how many downloads are left and until when.
- An order of digital items only is marked shipped and delivered at once.
Products › Digital
| Tab | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | Digital products, downloads and orders delivered in the last 30 days, free keys; a card per product |
| Key Pool | Every licence key: Available, Given (with its order), Revoked, Taken Out; TAKE OUT |
| Download Log | Every download and every refused try (expired, limit reached, revoked), with its order and device |
| Settings | The switch, Downloads per File, Days a Download Link Works |
When the pool runs out, new units wait for a key; the next import gives each waiting order its key and emails the buyer.
On an Order
Digital Delivery on the order's page shows each file's use and last day, and each key. RESET gives the downloads back, +7 DAYS extends the link, REVOKE and RESTORE stop or allow one, and EMAIL AGAIN sends the downloads again. A cancelled or refunded order loses its downloads and keys automatically.
