A stock count compares what is really on your shelves with what Mercayo thinks is there, and fixes the difference in one step. Do one at month-end, or for one shelf when something looks wrong.
Count
- START COUNT: choose the Location and a Name (for example "Month-end count"), then START. One count can be open per location at a time.
- Scan: each scan adds one (type a number first for a box of many: "How many each scan adds"). Or type a count for an item. UNDO takes off the last scan.
- The strip shows Variants Counted (of those that count stock), Units Counted, Differences and Not Counted (with stock here).
- Filter Counted, Not Counted or Differences; HIDE EXPECTED while counting so the team counts what they see; you compare at REVIEW.
Apply
REVIEW shows each Variant with Before, After and the Difference. Press APPLY COUNT. To make it a full count, tick "Also set the … variants that were not counted to 0". Then: "The count was applied. The stock now matches the shelves." Every change is in the stock history.
Cancel Count: "Nothing counted is applied. The stock stays as it is."
A Good Routine
- Count one location at a time, at a quiet hour, so orders do not move stock while you count.
- Count shelf by shelf; scanning is faster and avoids typing mistakes.
- Before applying, filter Differences and recount the biggest ones.
- Apply, then note in the count's name what you found ("Month-end count, October").
Questions
What happens to items I did not count?
They are not changed, unless you tick "Also set the … variants that were not counted to 0 (a full count)" when you apply.
Can two people count at once?
Yes, on the same open count; each scan adds to it.
