A printable guide, a pack of wallpapers, a software key or a course: digital products sell from the same store as everything else. The buyer gets them the moment the order is paid, on the thank-you page, by email and in their account, through your store's own links that expire and count each download.

In short
What It Does
Any product can be Digital instead of physical. It then delivers one or more of:
- Files: PDF, EPUB, ZIP and office files, text and CSV, pictures, audio, video, fonts and design files, up to 50 MB each. Each upload is checked by its first bytes as well as its name, so a page or a program cannot pass as a PDF. Files are stored privately: no address opens them without a paid order's link.
- Links: an address of yours, such as a course or a shared folder. The buyer opens your store's own expiring link, which counts as a download and then sends them on; they never see the address itself on the page or in the email.
- Licence keys: a pool per product (or per variant), imported by pasting a list or a CSV. Each unit sold gets its own key, never given to two orders, even when two orders are paid at the same moment. When the pool runs out, new orders wait for a key and get it, by email, with your next import.
A file or link can be for one variant only, such as a PDF and an EPUB edition of the same book.
Delivery happens once the order is paid: online at once, or for cash on delivery in a mixed bag, when the courier collects the cash. Each file or link has a download limit and a number of days it works, set for the store and, if you like, per product. An order of digital items only is marked shipped and delivered straight away, without the shipping messages.
At checkout, a bag of digital items only asks for a billing address (for the GST invoice), shows no delivery options and is paid online only: cash on delivery is not offered. A bag with physical items as well is delivered as usual.
After the sale, Products → Digital shows each product's sales and downloads, the Key Pool and a Download Log of every download and every refused attempt. On an order, your team can RESET the count, add +7 DAYS, REVOKE or RESTORE a download, or EMAIL AGAIN. A cancelled or refunded order loses its downloads and keys on its own.

Why It Matters
Many Indian brands already have something digital to sell: a size guide, a pattern, a recipe book, a set of presets, a short course. Selling it on a separate platform splits the customer, the GST invoices and the reports in two. Selling it from your own store keeps one bag, one checkout and one invoice series, and lets a shopper buy a ring and its size guide together.
The difficult parts are the ones buyers never see: links that cannot be shared around forever, keys that are never given twice, refunds that take back what was delivered, and a record of every download when a buyer says the file never arrived. Mercayo handles each of those for you.
Digital-only orders are always paid online, so there is no cash-on-delivery risk on products that cost nothing to ship but would be gone once delivered.

How It Works
Turn On Digital Products
Open Products → Digital → Settings and switch on Digital Products. Set Downloads per File and Days a Download Link Works for the store. Digital products are on every plan.
Make a Product Digital
Open a saved product. In Digital Delivery, choose Digital and SAVE the product. Then ADD FILE, ADD LINK, or switch on Licence Keys and IMPORT KEYS. Under Limits and Note, set the product's own limit and days if they differ, and a Note for the Buyer, then SAVE DELIVERY.
Shoppers Buy and Download
The product page shows Instant Download with what is included, in place of the delivery check. After payment, the downloads and keys appear on the thank-you page, in the order email and on the order's page, each with the downloads left and the last day.

What Your Shoppers See
The shopper sees Instant Download on the product page, a note in the bag that the item is delivered after payment, and, for digital items only, a short checkout with a billing address and online payment. Once paid, each file shows how many downloads are left and until when, and a key has a COPY button. A link that has expired or been used up opens a page in your store's look that says why, with a way back to the order.

Mercayo
Mercayo's Controls
Mercayo can switch digital products off for a store or lock its limits, with a reason your admin shows. The largest file is Mercayo's limit (50 MB, the most file storage takes), and uploaded files count toward your plan's storage. Download links are signed by Mercayo with a secret no store can read, and every link is checked before anything is counted or opened. Mercayo never sends a showcase store's or a sample order's downloads to anyone.

Good to Know Before You Start
- Files are up to 50 MB each; a larger course or video is sold as a link.
- A product holds at most 20 files and links.
- Licence keys are imported up to 10,000 at a time.
- Digital-only orders are paid online; cash on delivery is never offered for them.
- A digital-only order to a market abroad still needs a delivery zone for that country to be priced.
Questions
About Digital Products
Can a buyer share the download link?
The link counts every download and stops after your limit or your number of days, whichever comes first. You can see each download in the Download Log, and revoke a link from the order.
What if I run out of licence keys?
New orders are still placed and wait for a key. The next time you import keys, each waiting order gets its key and the buyer is emailed.
Can one order have physical and digital items?
Yes. The bag is delivered as usual for the physical items, and the digital ones arrive once the order is paid: at once when paid online, or when the cash is collected for cash on delivery.
What happens on a refund?
A cancelled or fully refunded order loses every download and key at once. A partial refund that covers a digital line takes back that line's downloads, and one key for each unit refunded.
Is there a GST invoice for digital products?
Yes, the same invoice as any order, using the billing address the buyer gives at checkout for the place of supply.
