AI credits pay for the AI Section Builder and the admin assistant. This guide shows where to see them, what each action uses, and how to top up. The full reference is AI Credits.
Step 1: See Your Credits
Open Wallet. The AI Credits card shows This Month ("120 of 150 left", and the day they come back), Bought Credits, What Each Action Uses and Used This Month.
Step 2: Know What Your Plan Includes
Settings › Billing shows each plan's monthly credits on its card: Starter 25, Growth 150, Scale 500 (Marketplace 1,000, Website 50). A trial has 30 for the whole trial.
Step 3: Watch the Meter While You Work
The section builder's panel shows what is left at the top ("120 of 150 credits left this month") and the prices under the box. The admin assistant's panel shows the same under its question box.
Step 4: See the Price Before Bigger Work
A small edit uses 5 credits and runs at once. A new section (15) or a whole page (80) shows "This uses 15 credits." first, with GO AHEAD and NOT NOW. A question to the section builder, or a request it cannot do, uses nothing. An admin assistant question uses 3.
Step 5: Choose a Pack
On the AI Credits card, under Top Up: 500 credits for ₹499 + GST, or 2,500 credits for ₹1,999 + GST.
Step 6: Buy with Your Wallet
If your wallet holds enough, press BUY WITH WALLET under the pack. The card says "500 credits added." at once, and the wallet's statement shows the pack as AI credits.
Step 7: Or Pay Online
Press PAY ONLINE: a payment page opens for the pack's price plus GST. When it is paid, the money goes to your wallet and buys the pack in the same moment; Mercayo's tax invoice is under Wallet › Top-Ups.
Step 8: What Happens at Zero
When there are not enough credits for an action, nothing runs: the panel says No Credits Left with TOP UP CREDITS. Nothing is ever charged without your top-up, and the balance never goes below zero. Your plan's credits come back on the 1st; bought credits never expire while your store is open.
Common Problems
- "Your wallet holds less than this pack's price.": add money to the wallet first (Wallet › TOP UP), or use PAY ONLINE.
- "Ask the store owner to top up credits.": buying needs the billing right; the owner or an admin can buy.
- Credits went back after a request: if the AI did not answer, the change could not be saved, or nothing changed, every credit comes back. A request that turned out smaller than its price keeps only what it used.
- UNDO did not give credits back: UNDO puts the page back, but the work was done, so its credits stay used.
- "Paused Until Next Month": the store's AI use reached Mercayo's monthly limit. It starts again on the 1st.
