Fix a Product with the Assistant

This tutorial fixes one product with the admin assistant: you paste its link, ask why shoppers cannot buy it, apply the fix it prepares, and check the result. It takes about five minutes. Asking why uses 3 AI credits and the applied change uses 5; plain how-to questions are free (see AI Credits).

You need a role that can see and change products. To change stock you also need the right to change inventory.

Ask About the Product

1. Press the sparkle button beside the bell (at the top of the screen on a phone). The Assistant panel opens; under the question box it says what your next question costs.
2. Open your product on your store in another tab, copy its address, and paste it into the box with your question, for example: "why can't people buy this? https://yourstore.mercayo.com/products/clear-case". Press SEND. The assistant reads the link (it never opens it) and shows OPEN PRODUCT for that product.
3. Read the answer. It lists every reason it found, such as "It is a draft", "Every variant is out of stock" or "No GST rate is set for HSN 3926", and the screen where each is fixed. The line under the answer says "Used 3 credits".

Apply the Fix

1. Ask for the change in the same conversation, for example: "set the price to ₹449, add the tag diwali and show the back photo first". The assistant prepares one Product card with each field's Now and After.
2. Check the card. It says "Applying uses 5 AI credits. Nothing is used before." Press APPLY. The change is saved through the same save as the product screen, with your own rights.
3. The card says Applied with OPEN. If someone else saved the product after the suggestion, the card says "This changed since the suggestion. Look at it again and ask once more." instead, and no credits are used: ask again.
4. Press OPEN to see the product. The new price, the tag and the photo order are there, and Settings › Activity Log shows the change as made by the assistant for you.

Ask How to Do the Rest

1. For anything the assistant does not change itself (a status, a GST rate, a market), ask how: "how do I add a GST rate for HSN 3926?". The answer gives the steps and links the exact step of the Help article, with its picture and SEE THIS STEP. This question is free.

Common Problems

• "It is not a link to this store." Only your own store's addresses can be opened (your free address, your own domain). Copy the link from your store, not another site.
• "Your role does not include changing products." Ask the store owner for the right, or to apply the change.
• No AI credits left. The card's APPLY is refused and nothing changes. Top up in Wallet (see AI Credits: What They Cost and How to Top Up).
• A picture from a web address. Upload it in Content › Media first, then ask to make it the main photo.
