See Your Store Full Before You Add a Thing, Then Delete It in One Click

A new store starts empty. Before launch you can choose LOAD SAMPLE PRODUCTS (in the setup guide on Home): a small sample for your kind of store, a few products with a sample category and collection, with no orders, reviews or customers.

Every row it adds is registered at the moment it is added. DELETE SAMPLE DATA removes exactly those rows, and says how many first, even if you edited one of them; it never touches anything you created yourself.

Sample data is offered only before launch, and Launch is blocked while any remains, so a sample product can never be sold to a real shopper.

Mercayo's own demo stores, such as Kosha and Verenne, use the same idea on a larger scale: their orders, reviews and customers are registered sample data too, which is why every picture of them on this site says so.

What the Sample Looks Like

The sample suits the kind of store you chose at sign-up, so a jewellery store sees sample earrings and a fashion store a sample T-shirt. It fills your product lists, a category and a collection, so you can judge card styles, filters, the product page and the bag before your own catalogue is ready. A note on the setup guide counts what is loaded and reminds you to delete it before launch.

Whether a store may load sample products is Mercayo's setting (on to start with). Loading sample data is refused after launch, by the database; deleting it is always possible.
