A font set changes the three fonts of your store together: the one for headings, the one for words and the one for small labels (prices' tags, eyebrows over headings, tickets). A colourway changes a preset's colours and nothing else, for example from Graphite Dark to Graphite Light. Both are in Online Store › Theme, and nothing reaches shoppers until you press SAVE.
Picking a Font Set
- Open Online Store › Theme and choose Typography.
- Under Font Pair, each choice shows a sample in its heading font and the fonts it uses. The three font sets show their names: 1 | Engineered (Archivo expanded, Geist, Geist Mono: precise and technical), 2 | Couture (Bodoni Moda, Hanken Grotesk, IBM Plex Mono: a fashion magazine's luxury) and 3 | Future (Unbounded, Plus Jakarta Sans, DM Mono: bold and young).
- Tap one. The preview changes at once: headings, words, small labels and, when your name is drawn as the wordmark, the wordmark too.
- Press SAVE, or UNDO to go back.
Every store can use the three font sets, with any preset. Each set brings its own weight, width and letter spacing for headings, so it looks the way it was designed. Only the chosen set's fonts are loaded on your store.
Switching Between Dark and Light
- Open Online Store › Theme and choose Colours.
- A preset with colourways shows them as cards at the top: Graphite offers Graphite Dark and Graphite Light; Royal Depth offers Temple Green and Ivory.
- Tap one. Only the colours change; your fonts, shapes and sections stay.
- Press SAVE.
Keeping Each Combination One Tap Away
Choose a colourway and a font set, then open Presets and press SAVE THIS LOOK with a name such as "Graphite Light | Couture". Do the same for the others you like. Later, APPLY a saved look and press SAVE to switch your store in one step.
Your Name as the Wordmark
With Name As The Wordmark on (Theme › Logo), the header and footer show your store's name in the heading font after a small square mark with its initials, even when you have a logo picture, so a new font set changes it too. Your logo stays in use for emails, sharing and your store's icon. With Last Word Emphasised on, the name's last part is in the accent colour ("CoversPro").
Questions
Do the font sets change my product names or texts? No. They change how the words are drawn, never the words.
Can I pick my own three fonts instead? Yes. Under Fonts in Typography, choose the heading, words and labels fonts one by one from the font library or your own uploaded fonts.
