Automatic Offers
Offers That Apply by Themselves
Not every offer should need a code. An automatic offer is in the bag the moment it qualifies: no typing, no copying from a post, and no shopper who missed the sale because they never saw the code.

In short
What It Does
An automatic offer is a discount with the method Automatic offer. It takes every value a code can take, and every rule: percentages and amounts, free or cheaper delivery, minimums, dates, uses, exclusions and the Who Can Use It conditions. The difference is that nobody types it. Each time a bag changes, Mercayo's server checks every live automatic offer against it and applies what qualifies.
Some kinds work best this way: bundle prices, prices by quantity, spend tiers, buy X get Y and free gifts. Add-on special prices are automatic only.
When several automatic offers qualify, your store decides how they meet:
- By default the shopper gets the biggest saving the offers allow, alone or together. Two offers apply together only when each one's Combines With ticks allow it; see combining offers.
- Or you set a priority order and the first offer that applies wins.
Automatic offers also help the shopper reach them. When a little more would unlock one, the bag and checkout say so, with the exact amount: "Add ₹551 more to get 10% off over ₹1,000." Each such line is checked by the engine before it is shown, so it never promises an offer that would not then apply. Offers for everyone can also show as labels on product cards and a sale page.

Why It Matters
In a festive sale, a code is one more thing to remember. Many shoppers arrive from a reel or a WhatsApp forward with no code at all; an automatic offer reaches them anyway, and the saving is already in the bag when they look.
It is also the clearest way to raise your average order. "Free delivery over ₹999", "₹200 off over ₹1,999" or "any 2 for ₹1,299" work because the bag tells the shopper how close they are. A shopper who sees "Add ₹300 more to get 10% off" often adds one more item.
And it keeps your margins safe without extra work. The engine never stacks two offers you did not mean to combine, picks the best for the shopper among those you allowed, and keeps the price on the product page the product's own, so a sale never quietly changes your catalogue.
Step by step
How It Works
Choose Automatic Offer
In Discounts, press CREATE DISCOUNT and choose Automatic offer under Method: "Applies by itself in the bag when the order qualifies." Give it a title shoppers will read in the bag, like "Diwali gifting: 15% off".
Set the Value and What It Covers
Pick the Value and whether it covers the whole order or chosen products, collections and categories. Add a Minimum Purchase, Exclusions and Who Can Use It conditions as you would for a code.
Decide How It Combines
In Combinations, tick the kinds it may apply with: product offers, order offers, free delivery. With nothing ticked it competes alone and the bigger saving wins. Applies on its own makes it exclusive: when it applies, nothing else does.
Give It Dates
Set Active Dates in India time. An offer with an end date can count down in its last hours (48 to start with) on product pages, the sale page and the bag. An offer with no end never shows a timer.
Try a Bag Before It Goes Live
The Try a Bag card prices a bag you pick (items, quantities, a phone, payment, a state or PIN, as signed in or as a first order) with the real engine, your unsaved changes included. It lists every offer it looked at and why each did or did not apply. Nothing is saved and no use is counted.
Watch It Work
Save the offer with status Active. The bag applies it by itself and names it on its own line. In the list, the Priority tab shows your live and scheduled offers in the order they compete, and each offer's REPORT shows what it brought in.

What Your Shoppers See
Shoppers see an automatic offer in the bag as its own line with its title and the saving, with nothing to type. Under the offers, a quiet line names an offer that did not combine with the others, so nobody wonders where it went. When a little more would unlock an offer, the bag and checkout say exactly how much, with a link to shop the offer's items. Offers ending soon say so: "Case bundle ends in 3h 12m." The product's own price never changes on its page or its card.

Mercayo's Controls
Mercayo's team can force or lock any of these switches for your store, with a reason your admin shows and a record in Mercayo's audit log. Mercayo also sets how many automatic offers one store may have live at once (100 to start with), because every bag is checked against each of them; saving one more is refused with a plain message. Mercayo never creates, edits or ends your offers.

Good to Know Before You Start
- A store may have at most 100 live automatic offers at once unless Mercayo allows more.
- Offers for some shoppers only (first order, signed in, a tier, a payment, a delivery area) and offers with days and hours never show as card labels; they appear in the bag.
- Combinations are found by trying each offer as a starting point and adding the others in order of saving, not by trying every possible set.
- An item gets one product offer at most: where two would touch the same item, one applies.
Questions
About Automatic Offers
If two automatic offers qualify, which does the shopper get?
With the default setting, the biggest saving: the best single offer, or a set of offers that combine, whichever saves more. Switch Which Offers Win to Priority to follow your own order in the list instead.
Can an automatic offer and a code apply together?
Yes, when each ticks the other's kind under Combinations. Otherwise the bigger saving wins, and on a tie the automatic offer, so no use of the code is spent. The shopper is told when their code was not used.
Will an automatic offer change the price on my product pages?
No. The product's own price stays on its page and its cards. An offer for everyone can show as a short label, and the saving comes off in the bag.
How does the bag know what to suggest?
For each automatic offer the bag has not reached, the engine prices the bag with enough of the cheapest eligible item added. The line shows only if the offer would then apply and save more than now: at most two lines, nearest first.
Can I run a happy-hours offer?
Yes. Under Who Can Use It, choose days and hours in India time; an end before the start runs overnight, such as 10 pm to 2 am.
Does an automatic offer count uses?
Yes. Every order that uses it is recorded with its amount, so a total use limit and uses per customer work as they do for codes, and a cancelled order gives its use back.
