Affiliates Who Earn a Commission on What They Sell
Creators and partners who send you shoppers should be paid for it, fairly and on time. Affiliates gives each of them a link and a code, counts the orders they bring, and approves their commission only once those orders have arrived.

In short
What It Does
An affiliate is a person or a page outside your store (a creator, a blog, a college society) who sends shoppers to you and earns a commission on what those shoppers buy. It is separate from Refer and Earn, where your own shoppers invite friends for store credit.
Each affiliate has:
- a link code: your store's address with ?aff= and their code, to put in a bio, a video description or a post;
- optionally one discount code of your store: a shopper who types it belongs to the affiliate even without the link;
- a commission rate, or your store's rate (10% to start with, up to 50%);
- a status (Active, Paused, Archived) and how you pay them (UPI, bank transfer or other: words only; no money moves through Mercayo).
Only your team adds affiliates; they never see your admin.
How an order is counted. By the code (the shopper's own act, so the code wins) or by the link, when the order is placed within the days a link counts (30 to start with). An order from the affiliate's own phone or email earns nothing.
How a commission is earned. The commission is the rate on the goods' value before GST, after offers, without delivery. It waits until the order is delivered and the waiting days have passed (14 to start with), then is approved on what is left after any refunds. A cancelled, returned or fully refunded order cancels it.
Paying them. Marketing → Affiliates lists each affiliate with clicks, orders, sales, commission and what is Owed Now, a Payout Due tab for those owed at least your smallest payout (₹500 to start with), and RECORD PAYOUT with the method, the payment reference and the date. EXPORT PAYOUT REPORT gives the period in a sheet.

Why It Matters
Influencer and creator marketing is how many Indian brands grow, and most of it still runs on spreadsheets and screenshots of coupon use. Affiliates puts it in one place: who brought which order, what they are owed, and what you have paid, with a reference for every payment.
Approving commission only after delivery protects you from paying for cash on delivery orders that are refused at the door, and the waiting days cover returns.
And it is fair to the affiliate too: a shopper who used their code is theirs, even if they never clicked the link, and an order is never counted twice.
Step by step
How It Works
Switch Affiliates On
In Settings → Rewards and Credit → Affiliates, switch Affiliates on and set the store's Commission, the Days a Link Counts, the Days to Wait After Delivery and the Smallest Payout.
Add an Affiliate
On Affiliates, press ADD AFFILIATE: their name, email and phone (an order from this phone or email earns them nothing), a Link Code of 1 to 32 letters, numbers or dashes, an optional Discount Code from your discounts, their own commission or the store's, and how you pay them.
Share the Link and Code
Open the affiliate to copy their Link to Share and see their discount code. Clicks on the link are counted per day.
Follow Their Orders
Each affiliate's sheet lists their orders (by code or by link) with the commission's state: Waiting, Approved, Paid or Cancelled, with the reason when cancelled. Your team can CANCEL COMMISSION with a reason.
Record a Payout
When an affiliate is due, press RECORD PAYOUT, pay them by UPI or bank outside Mercayo, and record the payment reference and the date. The amount recorded must still be what is owed on screen, so two people never pay the same commission twice.

What Your Shoppers See
Shoppers see nothing new: they open an affiliate's link or type their code like any other code, and the offer on that code applies as usual. The link is remembered in their browser for the days a link counts.

Mercayo
Mercayo's Controls
Mercayo's team can switch affiliates off or on for a store, or fix its commission, days and smallest payout, with a reason your admin shows beside the locked setting and a record in Mercayo's audit log. Mercayo never pays affiliates and never holds their money: payouts are made by you, outside Mercayo, and recorded here. Commissions already earned keep settling even if you switch the feature off, because they are owed to someone outside your store.
Limits today
Good to Know Before You Start
- Mercayo records payouts but does not send money; you pay affiliates yourself by UPI or bank.
- Affiliates are added by your team; there is no sign-up page for affiliates and no affiliate login.
- One discount code per affiliate at most, and a code belongs to one affiliate.
- Commission is a percentage of the goods' value; there are no fixed fees per order or tiers of commission.

What if a shopper uses one affiliate's link and another's code?
The code wins: typing a code is the shopper's own act. An order belongs to one affiliate at most.
Is commission paid on GST and delivery?
No. It is the rate on the goods' value before GST, after offers, without delivery or gift wrap.
When is a commission approved?
When the order is delivered and the waiting days have passed (14 to start with), on what is left after any refunds. A cancelled, returned or fully refunded order cancels it.
How is this different from Refer and Earn?
Refer and Earn is for your own shoppers inviting friends, paid in store credit. Affiliates are partners outside your store, paid a commission you record as a payout.
Can an affiliate see their own sales?
Not in Mercayo: affiliates never see your admin. Export the payout report and share it with them.
