Creating a Mercayo store takes three short steps: your details, a code to confirm they are yours, and your store's name and address. Your store starts as a free trial and stays private (nobody can see it) until you choose to launch. You do not need a card to start.
Before You Start
- A mobile number registered in India (10 digits) or an email address you can open now. The code goes there.
- A name for your store. Shoppers see it; you can change it later.
- A business in India: Mercayo is for sellers based in India (they can still sell abroad).
Step 1: Your Details
- Open the sign-up page (START FREE TRIAL on mercayo.com, or New to Mercayo? Create your store on the sign-in page).
- Type your Mobile Number (the
+91is already there). Or press USE EMAIL INSTEAD and type your Email. - Press SEND CODE.
The page shows Step 1 of 3 above the form. If the number or address is not valid you see "Type a 10-digit Indian mobile number." or "Type a valid email address."
Step 2: Confirm
Mercayo sends a 6-digit code:
- To a mobile number, on WhatsApp first. Open the message and tap COPY CODE, then paste it in The Code. If WhatsApp cannot reach you, the page says so and offers SEND BY SMS. You can also ask for the SMS yourself after a short wait ("Not getting it? You can get the code by SMS in 30 s.").
- To an email address. It can take a minute to arrive; look in spam too.
Type the code and press CONFIRM. If you made a mistake in the number or address, press USE ANOTHER EMAIL OR NUMBER. If the code does not come, wait for the timer and press SEND A NEW CODE.

Step 3: Your Store
Once confirmed, the page says "Confirmed as" with your number or email, and asks about your store.

Press CREATE MY STORE. Your admin opens on your new store's Home, with the setup guide.
What You Get
- A free trial of 14 days. The banner at the top of the admin counts the days left ("Free trial: 9 days left. Your store is private until you launch.").
- A private store. Search engines never list it before launch, and visitors see an opening-soon page. You can give a password to people you want to show it to. See Launch Your Store.
- Cash on delivery switched on, free delivery to start with, and a starting look for your kind of store.
- Sample products on offer. The setup guide can load a few sample products so you can see how a full store looks; delete them in one tap before you launch.
If Something Goes Wrong
- "Our terms were updated while you were signing up. Reload the page to read and accept the new version." Mercayo published a new version of its terms while the page was open. Reload and accept again.
- "You already have … stores. We have noted your request for another; our team will look at it." There is a limit on stores per person; Mercayo's team reviews requests for more.
- "That did not work just now. Nothing was created. Please try again." A momentary problem; nothing was created, so you can simply try again.
Questions
Is the trial really free?
Yes. No card is asked for. You pay for a plan only when you are ready to launch. See Plans and Billing.
Can I change my store's name later?
Yes, any time, in Settings › Brand. The free address stays as it was.
How do I sign in next time?
With the same mobile number or email you confirmed at sign-up. See Signing In.
What happens when the trial ends?
The banner says "Your free trial has ended. Choose a plan to keep your store." Pay for a plan to keep the store and launch it. See Billing FAQ.
