The questions merchants ask most about paying for Mercayo, in one place. For the screen itself, see Plans and Billing.

Plans and Prices

What does Mercayo cost?

Three plans, priced without 18% GST: Starter ₹499 a month (₹4,788 a year), Growth ₹1,299 a month (₹11,988 a year) and Scale ₹3,999 a month (₹35,988 a year). Mercayo's pricing page and Settings › Billing always show the current prices.

What is the difference between the plans?

"Every plan has every feature." They differ in size: products (300, 5,000, 50,000), team members including you (2, 5, 15), stock locations (1, 3, 10), own domains (1, 1, 5), and the monthly bundle of messages to shoppers.

Does Mercayo take a commission on my sales?

No. Mercayo does not charge a fee on your orders. Your payment gateway (Razorpay) and your courier charge their own fees under your agreements with them.

Is yearly cheaper?

Yes, about 20% less than paying monthly.

The Free Trial

How long is the trial?

14 days from creating your store. A banner counts the days left.

Do I need a card for the trial?

No.

What happens when the trial ends without a plan?

The store goes into limited mode: the storefront is closed and the admin can only be looked at. Nothing is deleted; pay and everything opens again.

Can I launch during the trial?

Yes, once a plan is paid. With an online subscription, choose to start today: the trial days left come off as credit. Paying by bank transfer during the trial adds the trial days left to your plan.

Paying

How do I pay?

Either by an online subscription (card, UPI autopay or bank mandate, charged automatically by Razorpay), or by bank transfer or UPI recorded by Mercayo. Settings › Billing shows which applies to your store.

Do I get a GST invoice?

Yes, a GST tax invoice for every payment, to download in Settings › Billing. While Mercayo's own GST details are being completed you get a proforma, followed by the tax invoice.

Is GST charged on top?

Yes, 18% on the plan price.

Changing and Cancelling

Can I upgrade at any time?

Yes, at once. The unused part of what you paid for your current plan comes off and goes back to your payment method.

What happens if I move to a smaller plan?

The change happens at the end of the period you paid for. If your store is above the smaller plan's limits, nothing is removed, but you cannot add more until you are under them.

How do I cancel?

CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION in Settings › Billing. Your plan runs until the end of what you paid; no more payments are taken. Then the store goes into limited mode until you choose a plan again. Nothing is deleted.

Do I get a refund if I cancel midway?

Cancelling stops future payments; the plan runs to the end of the period you paid. For anything else, write to Mercayo's billing address.

When Something Goes Wrong

My payment failed. Is my store closed?

Not at once. Razorpay tries again, and your store stays open through a grace period (7 days by default). Update your payment method in Settings › Billing to be safe.

What is limited mode?

"Your storefront is closed to shoppers and your admin can only be looked at, because the plan is not paid. Nothing is deleted: pay and everything opens again at once."

Will I lose my products or orders if I stop paying?

No. Mercayo never deletes your data for an unpaid plan.

Credits and Messages

What is Mercayo credit?

Money Mercayo owes you or gives you: unused time when you upgrade, trial days when you start early, or goodwill. It comes off your next payment, before GST.

What are notification credits?

A separate prepaid balance that pays for SMS, WhatsApp and some emails to shoppers beyond your plan's monthly bundle. See Notification Credits.

Who can see and change billing?

The owner and admins can see it. Changing the plan, the payment method or cancelling is for the owner; adding notification credits is for the owner.
