In short

What It Does

In Couriers, under Direct Courier Accounts, each courier has its own card beside Shiprocket and Shipway:

  • Delhivery: your API token from Delhivery One, your account's name and the warehouse your parcels leave from (by its name in Delhivery). Mercayo checks the token with Delhivery before anything is saved, then keeps it encrypted and never shows it again.
  • Blue Dart: your login ID and licence key, the client ID and secret of your app on Blue Dart's API portal, your customer code and origin area, your pickup address and, if you like, your contract rates (Blue Dart's API gives no prices).

Once connected, a direct account works like any courier account in Mercayo: GENERATE LABELS on the Orders list or an order uses it when it is your default (or when you choose it), your Courier Rules choose between its services (Delhivery Surface or Delhivery Air; Blue Dart Air or Blue Dart Surface), and bulk runs go through Shipping Jobs in the background.

What Goes Through Mercayo Today

Every connected card lists, call by call, what Mercayo does now and what waits for a live check: calls Mercayo built from the courier's public material but has not yet seen work on a real merchant account. Until a call is checked, Mercayo refuses it on a real account and says so in plain words, so nothing wrong ever reaches your courier; Mercayo turns it on for a store together with the merchant for the first check.

Request a New Courier

Need a courier Mercayo does not connect yet? REQUEST A COURIER on the same page asks which one, roughly how many parcels a month, their website and why. It reaches Mercayo Support as a request with your store attached, you get a copy by email, and you follow it under Help → Contact Mercayo Support.

For your store

Why It Matters

Many Indian sellers outgrow an aggregator for their busiest lanes and sign a contract with the courier itself: lower rates for volume, a named account manager, faster COD remittance. Until now that meant two dashboards, copying addresses and AWBs between them.

Connecting the account directly keeps one way of working: the same Orders list, the same labels in your look, the same rules choosing between air and surface, the same tracking page for shoppers. Your aggregator stays connected for the couriers and PIN codes your contract does not cover.

And when the courier you need is not there yet, asking for it takes a minute and goes to the team that builds the connections, with your volume and reasons attached.

Step by step

How It Works

  1. Get Your Keys From the Courier

Delhivery: in Delhivery One, Settings → API Setup gives the API token; your warehouse must already be registered in Delhivery. Blue Dart: your account manager gives the login ID, licence key, customer code and origin area; the client ID and secret come from your app on Blue Dart's API portal.

  2. Connect the Account

In Settings → Couriers, fill in the card's form and press CONNECT DELHIVERY or CONNECT BLUE DART. The button shows it is working at once; the courier checks the keys and nothing is saved if it refuses them.

  3. Ask for Status Updates

Right after the first connect, the card shows an address and a secret, once. Send both to your courier's account manager or support and ask them to send status updates there with the secret as the x-api-key header. Until they do, Mercayo asks about quiet parcels every 12 hours.

  4. Make Labels

Make the account your default, or choose it when you press GENERATE LABELS. Your Courier Rules can prefer Delhivery Air or Blue Dart Surface by weight, value, PIN code or payment.

  5. Request a New Courier

Press REQUEST A COURIER, name it, say roughly how many parcels a month and why, and press SEND REQUEST. You get the request's number at once and a copy by email.

What Your Shoppers See

Nothing changes for shoppers: the order page and Track Your Order show the courier, the AWB and its scans as for any parcel, and a part-paid cash order shows only the amount still to pay.

Mercayo

Mercayo's Controls

Mercayo's team can switch direct courier accounts off for a store, and turns on the live check of the calls not yet checked for one store at a time, together with the merchant, with every change in Mercayo's audit log. Your account, your rates and your COD money stay with your courier: Mercayo never books with its own account and never holds courier charges.

Good to Know Before You Start

  • Blue Dart: booking AWBs, pickup requests and return pickups through Mercayo start after the first live check on a merchant's account; until then book them in Blue Dart's own panel and add the AWB to the order with SHIP.
  • Delhivery: answers to failed deliveries and return pickups through Mercayo start after the first live check; until then do them in Delhivery One.
  • Status updates need the courier's team to set up the address for your account; without them, scans arrive with Mercayo's 12-hour check.
  • Blue Dart's API gives no prices: without your contract rates, your rules cannot compare its services by price.
  • A courier's own label from Blue Dart is not available through its API; your branded label carries its routing codes.

Questions

About Delhivery and Blue Dart Direct

Do I still need Shiprocket or Shipway?

No, a direct account works on its own. Many stores keep an aggregator too, for the PIN codes and couriers their contract does not cover; your default account is the one labels use unless you choose another.

What does Live Check Pending mean?

Mercayo built that call from the courier's public material but has not yet seen it work on a real merchant account. It is refused on real accounts until Mercayo checks it with a merchant, so a wrong field never reaches your courier.

Are my keys safe?

They are checked with the courier, kept encrypted with a key outside the database, and never shown again, to anyone. Disconnecting removes them.

Which couriers can I ask for?

Any. Name it in Request a New Courier with your volume and reasons; the request reaches Mercayo Support with your store attached.
