Product Feeds
Your Catalogue on Google Shopping and Meta, Kept Fresh
Shopping ads on Google and catalogue ads on Facebook and Instagram need a clean product feed. Mercayo publishes yours at addresses that never change, rebuilds it whenever your products do, and tells you exactly what to fix.

In short
What It Does
Every store has three feed files on its own domain, at addresses that never change:
| File | For | Address |
|---|---|---|
| Google XML | Google Merchant Center | yourstore.com/feeds/google.xml |
| Google text (TSV) | Google Merchant Center | yourstore.com/feeds/google.tsv |
| Meta CSV | Meta Commerce Manager (Facebook, Instagram) | yourstore.com/feeds/meta.csv |
You paste an address once in Merchant Center or Commerce Manager, and they fetch it on their schedule.
What each item carries: one item per variant (a product with variants is an item group), the title with the variant's options, the description, up to 10 (Google) or 20 (Meta) more pictures at their full size, availability (in stock, out of stock, or backorder with a date), the price (your MRP as the price and your selling price as the sale price, with optional sale dates per product so the feed always matches what the page charges), the brand (or your store's name), a GTIN only when the barcode is a valid one, the condition, the Google category, your category path, colour, size, material and pattern from your options, and the delivery price and days for India from your own delivery rates.
Always fresh: a feed is rebuilt with your store's content, so a change of a product, price, picture, category, stock or delivery rate is in the next fetch. An unchanged feed answers "not modified".
Checked twice: the builder lists problems for you, and a separate check reads every written file back the way Merchant Center and Commerce Manager would, against their rules.
Sales Channels (Online Store → Sales Channels) has four tabs:
- Overview: each channel Live, Off or After Launch, its items and products with errors, each feed's address with COPY, when Google or Meta last fetched it, How to Connect in three steps, and the problems by kind with their fix.
- Products: Problems, All and Left Out, with search, a problem filter, bulk LEAVE OUT OF FEEDS and PUT BACK IN FEEDS, and each product's feed details (Google category, condition, campaign label, sale dates).
- Categories: match each of your categories to Google's (a picker searches Google's 5,595 categories).
- Settings: the feed settings.
For your store
Why It Matters
For many Indian D2C brands, shopping and catalogue ads are where the sales come from. A feed with missing pictures, wrong prices or invalid barcodes is quietly refused, and the ads simply do not show.
Because Mercayo's feeds are built from the same products, prices and delivery rates your store uses, and checked against the platforms' rules, the price in an ad always matches the price on your page, and the problems list turns rejected items into a to-do list your team can clear.
Step by step
How It Works
Launch Your Store
Feeds answer once your store has launched (until then its pages are closed, and Google would refuse every link). The screen says so.
Fix What the Overview Lists
Open Online Store → Sales Channels. Fix the problems shown (a missing picture, no delivery rate, a title in capitals), each with its fix and a link to the products.
Match Your Categories
On Categories, give your categories (and a default) their Google category, so items are placed right in Shopping.
Copy the Address Into Google and Meta
In Merchant Center: add products from a file, by link. In Commerce Manager: add a data feed by URL with a schedule. Paste the address from the Overview once.
Leave Out What Should Not Be Advertised
On Products, select products and LEAVE OUT OF FEEDS; PUT BACK IN FEEDS any time.
Your shoppers
What Your Shoppers See
Shoppers see your products in Google Shopping and in Facebook and Instagram catalogue ads, with the same price and pictures as your store, and land on the product page.
Settings
Settings You Control
All are under Online Store → Sales Channels → Settings.
Mercayo
Mercayo's Controls
Mercayo's team can switch feeds off for a store or lock any feed setting, with a reason your admin shows. Feeds use counts of who fetched them (Google, Meta or another reader) only to show "last fetched"; they never change your store's pages.

Good to Know Before You Start
- Google Merchant Center and Meta are the two channels; others (such as marketplaces) are not built.
- Feeds answer only after launch.
- Options Google has no field for (such as a phone model) stay in the title.
- Prices are in rupees; display currencies are a guide on your pages only, never a feed price.
Questions
About Product Feeds
Do I have to upload a file every time I change a product?
No. Paste the address once; Google and Meta fetch it on their schedule, and it always reflects your store.
Why is my item refused for its barcode?
Only valid GTINs are sent. A shop's own code or a wrong check digit is sent without a GTIN, and the screen lists it as a tip.
Can I show MRP and the sale price?
Yes. With MRP as the regular price on, the MRP is the price and your selling price the sale price; sale dates per product keep the feed matching the page.
How do I keep a product out of ads?
Leave it out of feeds on the Products tab, alone or in bulk.
Does the feed use my own domain?
Yes, your primary address; every link inside the feed names it.
