Kosha is a demo store on Mercayo. Its products, orders and customers are sample data.

In short

What It Does

In Settings → Pixels, Cookies and App, add the ids you have, each checked by its shape before it is saved:

ServiceWhat You PasteNeeds Consent To
Meta (Facebook and Instagram ads)Meta pixel IDMarketing
Google Analytics 4Measurement ID (G-…)Analytics
Google AdsTag ID (AW-…) and your purchase labelMarketing
PinterestPinterest tag IDMarketing
Microsoft ClarityProject ID: how shoppers use your pages, with no typing recordedAnalytics

The Events Sent

Once a shopper has agreed, the tags they agreed to receive the moments that matter, with no code from you:

  • page view on every page;
  • product viewed on a product page, with the product's own details;
  • add to bag, with the product when it was added from its page;
  • checkout begun;
  • purchase on the thank-you page, once per order in that browser, with the order number so the ad platforms count it once.

Google's tags are also told the shopper's choice (Google's consent mode), so they follow it.

The tags load only after the shopper agrees in the cookie banner, only for the categories they agreed to, and only the tags you set. No tag is ever written into your pages: they are added after the page has been shown, so your store's speed is not held back by them. Your store's pages allow exactly the services you set and nothing else, so no other script can load through a tag.

Server Events (Optional)

With Send purchases from the server too on and your Meta Conversions API token and GA4 Measurement Protocol secret saved (sealed, shown by their last 4 characters), each consented purchase is also sent from Mercayo's server, so ad blockers do not hide it. The value and the items come from the order itself, never from the browser. With them go only the browser's own address, its name and version, and the tags' own cookie ids: never the shopper's phone number or email. The Server Events card counts the last 30 days: sent, waiting and not sent.

For your store

Why It Matters

Without conversion data, Meta and Google cannot find more shoppers like your buyers. Adding tags usually means editing theme code; here it is pasting ids. And loading them only after consent keeps your store on the right side of India's DPDP Act.

Many Indian brands find their shoppers through Instagram and Facebook ads, and through Google. Each rupee spent there works better when the platform learns which visitors bought. The built-in events give the ad platforms exactly the signals they look for, named the way they expect, without a developer.

Server events add a second path for purchases, so the sales your ads bring are counted even when a browser blocks tags, which helps the ad platforms learn who your buyers are. And because only the services you set may load, a tag can never be used to slip another script into your store.

Step by step

How It Works

  1. Find Your Ids

    Meta Events Manager (Data sources), Google Analytics (Admin, Data streams), Google Ads (Tools, Data manager, Google tag), Pinterest Ads (Conversions, Tag manager), Clarity (Settings, Overview). For Google Ads, also copy the purchase conversion's label: the part after the slash in AW-…/label.

  2. Paste Them

    In Settings → Pixels, Cookies and App → Marketing Tags, paste each id and save with the save bar. A wrong shape is pointed out before saving. Leave a field empty for a service you do not use; only the ones you fill in ever load.

  3. Check the Banner

    The cookie banner appears on your store once a tag is set (or always, if you chose that). Open your store in a private window: nothing loads until you choose, and the banner names the services you set under "Used here".

  4. Check the Events Arrive

    Accept all on your own store, view a product, add it to the bag and go to checkout. Meta's and Google's own tools (such as Meta's test events and Google Analytics' real-time view) should show the page views and steps within moments.

  5. Add Server Events

    In the Server Events card, paste the Meta Conversions API Access Token (Events Manager: your pixel, Settings, Conversions API, Generate access token) and the GA4 Measurement Protocol API Secret (Admin, Data streams, your stream, Measurement Protocol API secrets, Create), and SAVE TOKEN. Then switch on Send purchases from the server too.

  6. Test Before It Counts

    For Meta, add a Test Event Code while you check: Meta then shows the server's events under Test events instead of counting them. Remove the code when you are done. REPLACE or REMOVE changes a token at any time.

What Your Shoppers See

A cookie banner on their first visit; nothing loads for marketing or analytics until they choose. They can change their mind any time from Cookie Choices, and what they refuse never loads. Pages look and load the same whatever they choose.

Mercayo

Mercayo's Controls

Mercayo's team can switch tags off for a store or lock a setting, with a reason your admin shows. Each id is checked by its shape when it is saved and again when a page uses it, so not even an override can put anything but an id into your pages. Server tokens are sealed and never shown again in full. Mercayo's server never sends a shopper's phone number or email to an ad platform.

Limits today

Good to Know Before You Start

  • Only these five services are built in; there is no field for any other script or tag manager.
  • Server-side purchase events are built, and start once Mercayo schedules their sender on the live service.
  • Tags see only shoppers who agreed, so their numbers are lower than your store's own analytics.
  • Server events are for purchases only, to Meta and Google Analytics 4; other events go from the browser.

Questions

About Ads Pixels and Analytics Tags

Can I add Google Tag Manager or another script?

No. Only the built-in services can load, which keeps your store fast and every tag behind consent. Your store's pages allow exactly the services you set, so nothing else can load.

Which events go to Meta?

Page views, products viewed, adds to bag, checkouts and purchases, from shoppers who agreed to marketing. A purchase carries the order number, so Meta counts it once even when the server sends it too.

Why do my ad numbers differ from Mercayo's analytics?

Tags count only shoppers who agreed; Mercayo's own analytics counts visits to your store itself, without cookies and without personal data. Ad platforms also attribute sales by their own rules.

Do tags slow down my store?

They load after the page and only after consent, and only the tags you set, so the first paint of your pages is never held back by them.

What does the server send to Meta and Google?

For a consented purchase: the order's value and items, from the order itself, with the browser's own address, its name and version, and the tags' cookie ids. Never the shopper's phone number, email or name.

Do I need a developer?

No. You paste ids into one screen. There is no theme code to edit, no tag manager and no events to set up: the five moments that matter are sent for you.

How do I know the server events are working?

The Server Events card counts the last 30 days: sent, waiting and not sent. While checking, add a Meta test event code to see them in Meta's test events without counting them.
