Connect Shiprocket and Ship From Your Admin
With Shiprocket connected, labels, pickups, tracking and failed deliveries all happen in your Mercayo admin, at your own Shiprocket rates.

Kosha is a demo store on Mercayo. Its products, orders and customers are sample data.
In short
What It Does
Settings → Couriers connects Shiprocket:
- In Shiprocket, open Settings → API → Configure and create an API user (not your own sign-in).
- In Mercayo, enter that API user's email and password. Mercayo tries them with Shiprocket first (a refusal saves nothing), then keeps the password sealed. Shiprocket's sign-in lasts 10 days and is renewed automatically when less than a day is left.
- Mercayo shows a webhook address and a security token (shown only once). In Shiprocket, open Settings → API → Webhooks, paste them, switch the webhook on and save.
Once connected, the screen shows the API user's email (partly hidden), when it was connected, when the sign-in renews by, and the webhook address.
From Then On
| In Your Admin | What Happens |
|---|---|
| GENERATE LABELS on the Orders list | Up to 100 selected orders, each booked with the courier your rule picks, with an AWB; the labels come as one PDF (shipping labels) |
| Book the pickup with the labels (if on) | The courier is asked to collect as soon as the labels are made |
| Shipments | Every parcel by stage: To Pickup, In Transit, Delivered, NDR, RTO, Cancelled or Lost, with the cash to collect on COD parcels |
| The order and the shopper's tracking page | Each courier update, moving the order to shipped and delivered on its own (order tracking) |
| NDR | Failed deliveries open cases in your failed deliveries queue |
Courier updates arrive through the webhook, each checked against your security token. As a safety net, every 10 minutes Mercayo asks Shiprocket about parcels on the way that have had no update for 12 hours, so a missed webhook never leaves a parcel stuck.
When Something Changes on Shiprocket's Side
If Shiprocket stops accepting the saved sign-in (for example, the API user's password was changed), the admin says so plainly ("Reconnect needed", with Shiprocket's own words) and labels and tracking pause until you reconnect. RECONNECT keeps your webhook address and token, so nothing changes in Shiprocket. DISCONNECT is refused while a parcel is still on the way.
For your store
Why It Matters
Shiprocket gives you many couriers through one account; Mercayo brings it into your admin. Your team works in one place, with your own Shiprocket rates and wallet, and your COD money flows through Shiprocket to you as before.
For a small team, the time goes in the copying: order details typed into another website, AWB numbers pasted back, shoppers asking "where is my order" while the answer sits in another tab. With the integration, the order your team confirmed becomes a label in one press, and the courier's scans come back into the same order, the Shipments list and the shopper's tracking page.
It also keeps your existing relationships intact: your Shiprocket account, wallet, courier rates and COD remittances stay exactly as they are. Mercayo only does the clicking for you, from the screens your team already uses every day.
Step by step
How It Works
Create an API User in Shiprocket
In Shiprocket, open Settings → API → Configure and create an API user with its own email and password. This keeps your own Shiprocket sign-in private, and the API user can be removed on its own if you ever stop using Mercayo.
Connect in Mercayo
In Settings → Couriers, enter the API User's Email and API User's Password and press CONNECT SHIPROCKET. Mercayo checks them with Shiprocket now; if Shiprocket cannot be reached or refuses them, nothing is saved and the screen says why.
Add the Webhook in Shiprocket
The Finish in Shiprocket card shows the Webhook URL and Security Token. In Shiprocket, open Settings → API → Webhooks, paste the address, paste the token into the security token field, switch the webhook on and save. Then press DONE, I HAVE ADDED IT. The token is shown only now.
Set Your Courier Rules
Open Labels, Couriers and Pickups (Settings → Labels and Pickups). Switch on Courier integration, choose how couriers are picked (the cheapest, the fastest, or the first of your Preferred couriers that serves the PIN code), whether to book the pickup with the labels, and your usual parcel size and weight.
Make Your First Labels
On the Orders list, select confirmed orders and press GENERATE LABELS. Each gets a courier and an AWB, charged to your Shiprocket wallet; orders that cannot ship say why and are not charged. DOWNLOAD LABELS (PDF), print, and hand the parcels to the courier.
Your shoppers
What Your Shoppers See
Shoppers see their parcel's progress on your store's tracking page, with the courier, the AWB and each scan's place and time, and receive the "shipped" email with its link. The page is in your store's look, with no Shiprocket branding, and it opens fast because the updates are already stored.

Settings You Control
Each one is in your admin. A new store starts with the value shown.
Mercayo
Mercayo's Controls
Mercayo's team can switch the courier integration off for a store, or set any of its courier rules, with a reason your admin shows. Your Shiprocket credentials are sealed and never shown again, to anyone. Connecting or disconnecting a courier account needs the Change settings permission; seeing it needs See orders. Shiprocket charges and pays you directly; Mercayo takes nothing from shipping and never touches your COD remittances.

Good to Know Before You Start
- Shiprocket and Shipway are the two courier accounts you can connect; Shipway connects from its own card with its email and licence key.
- Part-paid COD orders cannot go through GENERATE LABELS with Shiprocket: book those in Shiprocket's dashboard.
- The webhook token is shown once; if you lose it, disconnect and connect again for a new one.
- Return and exchange pickups are not booked through Shiprocket from the admin; your team arranges them.
- Labels are made for up to 100 orders at a time.
Questions
About Shiprocket
Why an API user and not my own sign-in?
Shiprocket's API works with a separate API user. It keeps your own sign-in private and can be removed on its own, without changing the password you use every day.
Who pays for the labels?
Shiprocket charges your Shiprocket wallet for each AWB, at your rates, as it does today. Orders that cannot ship (a PIN code no courier serves, a missing weight) say why and are not charged.
What happens if Shiprocket rejects the saved sign-in?
The admin shows "Reconnect needed" with what Shiprocket said, and pauses labels and tracking until you reconnect. Reconnecting keeps your webhook address and token, so nothing needs changing in Shiprocket.
Can I still ship some orders myself?
Yes. Ship with any courier and move the order with SHIP and MARK DELIVERED. The integration is only used for the orders you select for GENERATE LABELS.
What if a webhook update is missed?
Mercayo checks every 10 minutes for parcels on the way with no update for 12 hours, and asks Shiprocket about them. A repeated update changes nothing, so nothing is counted twice.
Does my COD money still come through Shiprocket?
Yes. The cash your courier collects is remitted by Shiprocket to you as it is today. Mercayo records how much each COD parcel should collect, but the money itself never passes through Mercayo.
Can I disconnect Shiprocket?
Yes, from Settings → Couriers, once no parcel is still on the way: disconnecting is refused while any is. Remove Mercayo's webhook in Shiprocket too. Labels can then no longer be made from the admin.
